Re: Morrissey
Difference is, I'd happily go to numerous gigs on the 50% Strangler tip tour (each and every year) and feel pissed off if I didn't see them a couple of times during the year, whereas I probably (if pushed) take in one Morrissey gig every five years and not worry if I missed one. It's all a matter of...

Re: Making Plans for XTC - stay up for the Partridge !
Pretty good, interesting and funny 'rock'umentary 'This Is Pop'. As stated previously, I sorta 'fell out' of interest as they progressed away from the punkier/new wave style - but (surprisingly) I was still aware of a lot of the music references used in the film. Obviously a band that can still cree...

Re: Making Plans for XTC - stay up for the Partridge !
TBH, other than a few singles (Generals and Majors...) I pretty much gave up on XTC after 'Drums and Wires' LP. For me the genius was 'GO 2' - along with 'B&W' these were the albums that took over my turntable for a while in late '78. Never really the same after Barry Andrews left and they stopp...

Re: "Tom Petty" RIP.
Indeed! When all these great icons of music have gone who's gonna replace them that's what i'm thinking? To be fair - a lot of these 'great icons of music' weren't really held in that high esteem by many until they die. There has always been the trivial pop stars probably more famous and 'celebrate...

Re: Things you fecken hate..........
"Attention UK fans! We’re excited to exclusively announce that the band are heading out on tour around the British Isles in March 2018...."
No you're feckin' not - as usual, you are ONLY touring Great Britain (Scotland, England and Wales)

Re: Daniel Craig : 007
The number of times I have watched James Bond films : Sean Connery's films : At least ten times each. George Lazenby's one film : At least ten times. OHMSS is a superb film and of all the 007 films, it most closely follows the novel of the same name. Roger Moore's films : About six times each. Timo...

Re: Daniel Craig : 007
Never Say Never Ever, Never Ever Again. A new plot line where following an assignment, Mr Bond has a romantic dalliance with an attractive female and falls foul of a megomaniac trying to outwit US/UK Governments for his own gain - has Bond exactly where he wants him. Rather than killing him outright...
