Fantastic musician, singer and painter. Saw him once on stage in Paris 30 years ago, what an incredible performer ! Barracuda is right : Hugh learnt lot of guitar and rhythm stuff from him. A genius he was.

Never seen The Slits on stage, but I still have that great live / half bootleg LP they made, called "Typical Girls Live in Cincinnati & San Francisco USA". Their cover of "Heard It Through The grapevine" remains a small masterpiece.

Another great Polyphonic Size performance last friday night in Brussels. This time at the BOUCHE A OREILLE (a very nice venue, actually an ancient convent, with the backstages located in a small chapel ! :smt112 ).
