Re: Kraftwerk : At the Tate Modern

Couldn't get tickets. Very badly handled. I know some people who spent a whole day on the phone and on the website trying to get through.

Re: How good are TALKING HEADS?

About 5 years ago Colin Moulding publicly announced his retirement from music (although I believe he has done some bits and pieces since) and Andy Partridge has said that without him there's no XTC. Re: 2012 Albums

So far Giants is the best album of 2012, with Hot Chip's "In Our Heads" coming second, and third probably Totem & Taboo. I look forward to the Lianne La Havas album coming out next week, I reckon that'll beat all those I've mentioned so far.

Re: XTC '77

All the live versions I've seen/heard of Living Through Another Cuba are fantastic and have some nice improvisations at the start as well as being segued into Generals And Majors at the end.

Re: XTC '77

Black Sea was probably my favourite. Wish I still had the plastic black bag it came in when I bought the album all those years ago. Good album... didn't it have a funky track on it called "Living Through Another Cuba" ? cheers Burn e 77 yes, ends with a kind of beat box rhythm. One of my XTC faves ...

Re: In Memoriam: Christopher Hitchens

Was listening to the always brilliant Danny Baker show on BBC London on Friday, and during the news the beeb decided to use a clip from Tariq Ali who was saying that he thought the real Christopher Hitchens died a decade ago, and that since then we've seen a new Christopher Hitchens that wasn't as b...

Re: SET LIST 2012

Probably unpopular choices, but I'd actually like to hear Valley Of The Birds, In Heaven She Walks, La Folie, Paradise and Dead Loss Angeles.
