Didn't Altered Images support Janet and The Icebergs? Severin certainly produced their early stuff and I'm sure they were taken under the Banshees wing around the "Dead Pop Stars" era.

Bllimey it's all so long ago and I'm sure that Mully's right about the Join Hands album. If I remember correctly wasn't it in Aberdeen during the tour that McKay and Morris walked out and as The Cure were support they drafted FB in on guitar and Budgie was indeed drumming with The Slits at the time ...
