Re: Johnny Marr
Seen him in concert last year doing the first album as well as a couple of Smiths and Electronic numbers and was very impressed. I have to say his second album for me is a little disappointing though. But each to their own.

Re: Inspiral Carpets - new record and interview
Looking forward to seeing the Carpets in Preston later this month. I also think the album is very good. I can also hear subtle Stranglers melodies in some of the tracks. Our Time sounds like something of '10' with the keyboard running through it.

Big Country tour
Saw Big Country last night doing a free warm up gig under the guise of 'Men Of Steel' at a small club in Clitheroe, Lancashire this precedes their anniversary tour of the album Steeltown. Well worth checking out. Thought they were excellent supporting the Stranglers and Boomtown Rats in the summer a...

Re: black and white signed lp
securedownload.jpg I recently saw Hugh and got him to sign the album sleeve and the grey vinyl as well. He was very accommodating i then got JJ and Dave to sign it after a gig. Baz wasn't bothered about not signing it when I spoke to him. Still waiting to complete the signing by getting Jet's signa...

This taken from a recent interview.............. We’ll be doing some gigs around the release of that. We’ve almost ...

Re: From the jam All Mod Cons
Saw them at Clitheroe on Saturday night. Sold out weeks ago. Excellent night great to hear the entire All Mod Cons album plus some old favourites. They announced that they are doing an acoustic set and a Q & A next March in Clitheroe and following that up with a tour of Setting Sons. Russell Has...

Re: Hooky - Joy Division - Biography - MIB link
He says in the book that he saw the band at Bingley Hall around 1978 and whilst standing at the front wrote down all of JJ's kit on stage then went and bought it. Loved the JJ sound and the Simonon look. Didn't have good things to say about the road crew though when supporting the band at The Rainbo...
