Re: Worst song on Coup De Crap / Coup Disgrace

I actually like this album which is a bit weird I guess cos it’s not brilliant but I broke up with an ex-model Female Woman at the time and was listening to this a lot and it reminds me of her and those times good and bad. I guess thats an interesting angle, liking or not liking an album cos of how ...

Re: RIP Peter Green

So sad, one of the great guitar players, after he left Fleetwood Mac they became a different beast not for the better, great that he came back from what happened to him with bad acid etc, great is a word to many people use but Peter was one a truly gifted musician and song writer. RiP Aye, musta be...

Manic Street Preachers Generation Terrorists. I was gonna say that too but they later released the rather excellent Everything Must Go, so... And Holy Bible Jim Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk I do like a few songs but as a whole I could never get into that album, thought it was very overrated...

Manic Street Preachers Generation Terrorists. I was gonna say that too but they later released the rather excellent Everything Must Go, so... They said they were intending to write just the one ‘classic’ album like the Pistols - Bollocks and become millionaires and leave it at that, their debut was...

RIP Peter Green

:( Only got to see the man once when he played in Leeds back in the 90’s but it was so great to see him. He wasn’t quite with it but played that guitar just fine. We waited around after the gig but he didn’t want to come out and chat but his partner took our tickets and got Peter to sign them. Blast...

Re: Statues and censoring old songs

I walked into the chemist the other day and the Pharmacist, a young man asked me “Why are you wearing that t-shirt for?” I didn’t have to but I explained to him why I was wearing the t-shirt after which that he looked a bit confused and embarrassed. I was wearing a T-shirt of one of my favourite gui...

Re: Tim Smith

Absolutely loved their ‘Tarred and Feathered’ single which I bought when it came out what seems like a lifetime ago. I thought it was a mind blowing piece of crazy art and the musicianship was incredible. Sadly I never went onto discover anymore of their music. RIP. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N...

Re: Statues and censoring old songs

As Jordan B. Peterson sez- “I’ve studied Nazism for four decades. And I understand it very well. And I can tell you there are some awful people lurking in the corners,” Peterson says. “They’re ready to come out. And if the radical left keeps pushing the way it’s pushing, they’re going to come” Oh n...

Guthrie Govan, Bryan Beller, and Marco Minnemann = The Aristocrats. Wonderfully funny crazy insanely great quirky music played by technically amazing players, very inspiring for any musician. 8) OK too may beards and hair but ignore that and listen to em, an example - Blues Fuckers - https://www.you...

Good bass line by Norman!
Forgot all about that but it’s obvs now listening to it that Simonon couldn’t play like that, probably still had notes drawn on his Bass guitars fretboard. Good idea actually.
Norman, he’s a seriously underrated bassist.
Great song.

Re: Rick WakeMan interview

Is he joining the Stranglers then? yeah he's responded to an ad and going for an audition Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk I heard his auntie noticed it first, and let him know about it. I heard that too and it sounds awfully familiar. I do hope Rick plays Dave’s parts well, I’m sure he will, c...
