Re: Would you see The Stranglers without JJ?
Paul did keep the band going, and I seen some great gigs with him ... from 4 dates on his first tour in '91 (?) to his last gig at Rock City (?) ... as well as some solo gigs where he introduced BW & made him more accessible to everyone, happy days. I think the final nail in his coffin was JJ &...

Re: Would you see The Stranglers without JJ?
Paul did do some great work on a couple of the albums but was a joke on stage, in my opinion.

Re: Would you see The Stranglers without JJ?
That video is brilliant, it sounds great, the songs are great, the performances are great, Dave's got his decent-sounding keyboards... I dunno, god forbid that a band has a frontman that can sing and get into a performance... JJ obviously didn't agree. He lost interest for years, albums reco...

Re: Would you see The Stranglers without JJ?
I would much rather see the Stranglers without JJ than this embarrassment of a performance https://youtu.be/P63NnqRska8?feature=shared
This brings back exactly why I gave up going to see "JJ, Jet, Dave and friends" for quite a few years.
Baz totally turned things around.

Re: Would you see The Stranglers without JJ?
Baz could always go back to bass to make room for Hugh. How surreal could things get? Well it could be more surreal. Hugh switches to bass Jim Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk Clinging on to the MKI "classic" lineup are any of the brass members still alive? You could bring one o...

Re: Would you see The Stranglers without JJ?
I wonder if the Stranglers without JJ would pull in larger crowds than Hugh?
