Re: Crap Joke No.83840370
Jesus is up on the cross, and he's calling out "Peter, Peter". Word gets back to his disciples, Peter goes to see visit him but unfortunately cannot get past the Roman guard. He tries, and tries, and tries some more, and the guard gets so annoyed with him that he chops off Peter's right ar...

Re: RAH
Plus, last time they filmed a gig it didn't go so well, so they ended up releasing one that had already been broadcast online with a few of the "new" snippets as DVD extras. When was this? It was the Ruby tour in 2014, they filmed in Manchester but had all sorts of technical problems with...

Re: RAH
Apparently there wasn't any cameras so it wasn't recorded for a DVD which is a bit disappointing. I have read elsewhere that the Royal Albert Hall charge a lot of money for filming at their venue, so perhaps that's why. It's a pity they didn't film one of the gigs, even if the cost at the Albert Ha...

Re: The Anniversary Harrington Style Jacket.
I still regret noy buying one of those Stranglers bomber jackets SIS had for sale in the mid eighties! I've got the Aural Sculpture tour jacket that I've never worn - someone said they wanted it ages ago, but if they've changed their mind I'm open to offers for it. Not quite as tacky IMO as the ori...

Re: SLF 2024 Tour
I've only seen them once in 2022 at the Stone Valley festival. They're ok..I never really got into their material but a good live band to see from that era.. I don't know their music either, but I went to see them a couple of times when I had a local venue in walking distance and enjoyed both gigs ...

Re: The Interval
They were coming round with free ham toasties and cold drinks at Manchester, just as a thank-you for us all coming out*. The background music during the interval was all covers of Stranglers tracks by various artists, they put a playlist on Spotify a week or two back: https://open.spotify.com/playli...

Re: Manchester
I was there, and I enjoyed it very much. I also thought about whether to have a look at going to Wolverhampton tonight, but haven't done anything about it. I had an idea of what was going to be played, but it was nice to hear some stuff that I haven't heard for ages. If it were me, I'm not sure I'd ...

he could even use Vic Reeves singing in the style of a club singer and know the fans would support it. Talking of which, I watched The Damned "Berlin Live" on Sky Arts the other night and I found myself thinking Dave Vanian was doing a bit too much of his pub singer impression through pre...
