I'll be there - wife and kids as well! I will be in trouble with my daughter if we don't get there in time for DavidRBlack, so I'm hoping the M5/M6 etc are not too congested.

At least you could still get a record to play that way. I've got scratched CDs which just give up when the player reaches the damaged section. Anyone had any luck with those repair kits you can get? Mark ........ little things like not having to guide a 'needle' onto the grooves of a lump of plastic...

I've not seen Adrien Munden solo so don't know how he compares to Richard Stilgoe. Saw Audioporn in Tunbridge Wells and Aldershot lost March/April on Hugh's tour and they came across well. There are extracts of Tank on their website www.audioporn.co.uk

Audioporn
Saw Audioporn a couple of times last year supporting Hugh. Picked up their CD "Tank" and played it a lot. Have just got hold of a copy of their DVD which features a live recording of Tank which is pretty good as well. Worth checking out.

Had seen them a couple of times in the Fleece in Bristol in the early 90's. It's great to see that they haven't slowed down at all. The venue this time was in an a small club and it was really hot, especially at the front, much hotter than Hugh's fateful night in Islington. Mind you, Wilko doesn't b...

Wilko Johnson
Saw Wilko in Bristol last night. That man can really play the Telecaster and he still flies about the stage. Watching Norman Watt-Roy on bass is mesmerising, that guy plays with such feeling. A great gig!

Re: Festivals
We're doing Reading for the Pixies having missed out on seeing them last year. Other than that may go to one or both days of the Bristol Orange Festival at Ashton Court where the Strangs headlined last year. Not seen who's playing this year yet but at £5 a ticket per day its worth going if only to ...

Thanks Jim. I might be a lazy bastard, but I just wanted to be clear that I'm not all take and no give  Mark I realise not everyone's a gobshite like me but you've gotta agree you've been awfully quiet - Good to hear you've contributed. THANKS. If there was a way of putting you on 100 posts I w...

Part of that is because I haven't felt that I have had much to contribute. This is the first and only forum I am member so perhaps I'm not used to the etiquette. :? I have responded to people's requests for recordings when I've had them, uploading them on Dr Black's site. I have put photos on the BU...
