Tuxedomoon
Any Tuxedomoon fans on here? I've always been curious. Virtually unknown in the UK, but much bigger in continental Europe. One of my all time favourite bands along with the Stranglers and the Residents, and have been lucky enough to work with some of the members. I've always felt there are definitel...

Saw them live a few weeks ago. Amazing. Best gig I've been to in ages.

Re: The Safety Dance - Video Locations
This is a bit surreal. I've just come back from seeing them at the Islington Academy. Great gig, and not only that, it was Stranglers non-stop over the PA before they came on...Hanging Around, Let Me Down Easy, Midnight Summer Dream, Nice 'n' Sleazy.

Re: GOLDEN BROWN - Cult With No Name
Skin Deep was the song that actually got me into The Stranglers in the first place, so would be fitting to cover that!

Re: GOLDEN BROWN - Cult With No Name
'ello. Erik here from Cult With No Name. Thanks for posting the link up! Huge, lifelong Stranglers' fan. Story behind the cover is that we were asked to play an event called 'Smack Hits', where each band had to do a song about smack. Cover was so well received we decided to stick it on our second al...

Re: New cover of 'Golden Brown' released
Definitely. I wasn't being sarcastic, might give it a go. Plenty of Stranglers songs I'd love to cover. By the way, if anyone's interested, we attempted something in the Greenfield stylee on a track called 'Down the Line' on our myspace.

E.

Midnight Summer Dream? Oooh, great idea. Another tricky guitar solo though.

Re: New cover of 'Golden Brown' released
Thanks for the encouraging comments! Yeah, can never get that guitar solo right. You hum it and I'll play it. Mind you, 'a manicled Paul Roberts'? Ouch, that hurt.

New cover of 'Golden Brown' released
Hi All, New here...although I've been reading the posts for months (true). Been a huge fan since 1984...when I was, er, 9. Favourite album 'La Folie'. I even had a letter published in Strangled (it was the best day of my life at the time). At the risk of being shot down with my very first post, my b...
