I seem to recall that Mick Jones was lauded by some in the music press as the punk/new wave guitar hero, something I found a bit of a mystery. In my humble opinion he wasn't fit to lace Hugh's boots when it came to both playing rhythm and solos.

My brother bought me the first series on DVD for Christmas and said it's the dogs bollocks so I'm looking forward to giving it a watch.

We were on holiday in Ibiza and were watching clips of the news as it was going out. Since the news was in Spanish and the footage wasn't great we thought there had been a plane crash in Spain initially and it took a while to find out what had actually happened.

I told him I don't like him very much. Priceless. :lol: If only I had the nerve to do the same sometimes. Personally I find that people move on and though it's nice to meet up occasionally to reminisce, too much of it can put you right off people. I met a close friend from my youth a few years back...

The Sweet and Mud for me in a pre-teen undedicated sort of way. The Stranglers were the first band that I was totally hooked on though.
