Re: No Hugs ...
 Looking increasingly likely that Glasgow is on for next weekend. Scottish government announced today that most Covid restrictions will be lifted re entertainment industry. On checking Academy website they've got protocols in place for Covid which I've no problem with. To get in you have to sh...

Re: No Hugs ...
It's been so long since I bought tickets for the Glasgow gig that I had to hunt through archived emails to find out I'd got them via Ticketmaster. Strange how quickly things change. A week or so ago I wouldn't have given a snowball in hell's chance of the gig going ahead on Friday 28th but now I'd b...

Re: new damned single link
Great video and a great tune.
Going to see The Damned in Glasgow later today. They've been consistently good live any time I've seen them before, so looking forward to it.

They Might Be Giants
Went to see TMBG last Sunday at ABC in Glasgow. What a fantastic live act they are. Witty banter between songs, very tight live, and they seemed to play forever. So many highlights in the set but moments that stand out were Music Jail, Your Racist Friend, Dr Worm and Birdhouse in your soul.

Re: Killing Joke
Going to Glasgow gig and was wondering if it's worth heading in early to gig. Who is the support act and are they any good?
I'm assuming Kj will be on stage around 9

Re: Taxpayers' Alliance
The Taxpayers Alliance are one of a myriad of right-wing think tanks with harmless sounding names, whose raison d'etre is to appear on the news talking Tory bollocks whilst giving the false impression of academic impartiality.

Re: Kilmarnock and Glasgow who is going?
Yes, they're both decent pubs. I expect Wetherspoons will be very busy but big barn of a place so should take it. Wetherspoons is just round the corner from FBG. FBG has live band at weekends. If folk find a 5 minute walk too strenuous then there is also the Kay Park Tavern which is a minute away fr...

Re: GIGS,GIGS AND MORE GIGS!
Went to see The Mary Chain at Edinburgh Corn exchange a week ago last Thursday. All I can is WOW. I've been a long time fan of the brothers Reid but never seen them live & was well aware of their chequered history when it came to live shows. However, there were no strops on display at this gig. ...
