Re: Tokyo and Kyoto
Off to Japan this year. Obviously there's a lot to see and do but just wondered if any of you have been and have recommendations? Jim Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk Tokyo is great. Akihabara - Electric City is fab - just so lively. The weird and wonderful walking around. Bright lights. Pachink...

Re: Embellishments and deviations
Case in point https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWc4ur9R6lM The drumming! - Too much. Nice little roll of the toms is all it needs. Also, just realised I've been playing the intro to Toiler slightly wrong Jim He just plays striaght through, down the middle and adds nothing. JB has those snare rolls a...

Re: Would you see The Stranglers without JJ?
That video is brilliant, it sounds great, the songs are great, the performances are great, Dave's got his decent-sounding keyboards... I dunno, god forbid that a band has a frontman that can sing and get into a performance... JJ obviously didn't agree. He lost interest for years, albums reco...

And for a night out etc, it's fine but if there are NO originals then it's a bit on the rich side

Re: Tour Epitaph
Fair point. I think you have to have your own opinion on what the criteria is. For me it is artisitic input and tenure. Baz has done both. Jim, a wee bit - tenure but not much artistically (he's a drummer after all!!!! ) Toby nowt. But if Toby were to put in a good shift, why not? Look at New...

Re: Tour Epitaph
Personally, I see Baz, Toby and Jim as stand-ins for the proper guys who can't or won't be there. Actually, that's a bit too charitable. They're employees of "JJB&F Inc." I think it's rather rude to Baz to say that considering his input over the yeras. Maybe the other guys are "e...
