Re: The Jam some good songs but rather boring imho

They are all superb to my ears, my fave being ‘Setting Sons’ which I believe is not a fave of Weller’s, but what does he know eh? Have to agree, most people rate AMC's as they're best album, but I much prefer 'Setting Sons' ... must listen to it every couple of weeks if not weekly. Best track for m...

Re: The Jam some good songs but rather boring imho

The Jam were iconic ... much more then The Stranglers tbh, they were the voice of our youth. Its a shame they split up when they did ... but at least they ain't flogging a dead horse because of it. Only ever seen them once 'Live' but I'll never forget the excitement as a 17year old, a lot memorable th...

Re: From The Jam

With regards to FTJ ... I seen them when Rick Buckler was touring with them before Foxton joined. Everything seemed fine until Foxton recorded with Weller on one of his solo albums.

Bit strange that Rick left soon after.

Re: From The Jam

Bruce a better bass player than JJ? Discuss... It was discussed about 40 years ago , for a while . Me & Matt H asked Bruce at Rats Rally years ago. We mentioned the polls in Sounds & NME if it ever pissed him off that JJ always was No1 and he was No2   He said he wasn't ..... &...
