Re: James Dean Bradfield

I thought the last one Resistance is futile was even better. At this point I'd rank Resistance is Futile alongside Postcards from a Young Man - the sort of sweeping, dramatic rock album they can do in their sleep, whereas Futurology was more out on a limb and better for it. Completely agree. Futuro...

Re: Statues and censoring old songs

I don't know if I'm alone in this but I'm sick to death of this non stop stuff about race , slavery etc It's a conversation that needs to be had because too many people want to stick their head in the sand about it. What is next , omitting politically incorrect songs from future CD versions of old ...

Re: Best MUSIC books read

Apart from the obvious Stranglers ones I think the Siouxsie biography is probably the best one I've read.
A couple of Laurie Anderson's books are really interesting too.

Legendary Pink Dots at the Moth Club, Hackney at the end of February.
Any later and it would have been cancelled, great night and great support act called Chopchop.
I was at that one too.
Ah awesome! It's a small world and all that. What did you think?

Re: Your Last Gig

Norwich , Stranglers ....either 2011 or 2012 ...pretty sure 2011 as I'd have avoided 2012 due to a "certain song " probably being on the itinery . Always said the past few years when that one dropped off the playlist I'd go again soon , but always coincided roughly same time as we'd be looking at h...

Re: BEST THING ABOUT PAUL'S DEPARTURE

Despite JJ asserting that Giants was their most successful album since the MK1 days, there's not much to back that up. Yes, I think that's almost complete tosh. Giants charted higher than the others but if we're using that metric then it wasn't successful as In the Night or About Time... It'd be in...

"Are You Broken?" and "Period of Change" The latter is mocking "management speak", as we're currently "on a journey" and all that. spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/6FAmZMh9QHoBV1gDVkK3aB?si=_Rw5A668S3mrrxzQsoG7ZA bandcamp: https://parasiteofficial.bandcamp.com/album/are-you-broken-period-of-c...

Re: What is your current Covid employment state?

I'm a teacher working from home, not sure which one to tick.
The definition of keyworker has become so nebulous.

Re: Wyatting

There was a pub I went to in Norwich that constantly had Bon Jovi/Guns n Roses stuff on, they got a blast of Laurie Anderson's "O Superman". We had to leave before it had finished... The bowling alley used to have a jukebox but they got rid of it a short time after I put "Chocolate Salty Balls" and ...
