Re: If something's going to kill me...

Louie on keys... channelling Dave. Not really getting the Kraftwerk nod... more like their own album Feline.

Re: DARK MATTERS!!!!!

Not sure if anyone has seen this. https://metalplanetmusic.com/2021/07/album-review-the-stranglers-dark-matter/ "Of course, being The Stranglers there’s never the scent of anything overly portentous or overblown and they’d probably blanch at the thought of some Jim Steinmanesque approach to th...

Re: White Stallion

Yes but the Damned were very shambolic live years ago and not a tight well oiled machine like the Stranglers at their peak, but that was the appeal, there performance on whistle test in 1979 Is just fantastic Yes I agree that they were shambolic live even when they were recording great albums like ...

Re: White Stallion

of course the Damned are now great musicians, should be after so many years. Lt Kudu To be fair they were always good musicians, more so from 1979 and especially 1980. I remember having a 'discussion' with a friend once about who was the best drummer between Rat Scabies & Jet Black... haha. I wa...

Re: White Stallion

Sounds to me like Dave only did 'half' of the keys before the covid break and Louie finished off. Most interesting track so far though.

Re: White Stallion

Sounds very creative and promising. Nice little filtered synth part at one point which reminds me a little of the 1980 era. NIce to hear a different groove as well.

Re: The Lines preview

It's short by design and works that way. However, I was hoping for more meat on all of the 11 album tracks.

Re: The Lines preview

I quite like the concept and video. My only disappointment is that this short 'throwaway' ditty is another of the valuable 11 album slots. My hopes for another prog Hallow workout are fading fast. But it's a poignant little song.

Re: Payday preview

So the 5 Songs they worked on in April 2019 were Water, Payday, This Song, Man on the Moon and Breathe. They then added Keyboards, Vocals and Guitars 9 Months later...is that a good way to work??...... It probably is as it gives Dave and Baz plenty of time to work things out over what's already down.

Re: Mojo Magazine August 2021

I have the Mojo mag, Dave was sober when he recorded his keyboard parts on new album, it would seem from what JJ said that Dave wasn't always sober when recording? I just took it that Dave got very drunk at rehearsals but not when doing the final recording. In general DG used to love his drink, lik...
