Re: Wet Leg
My daughter saw them in Manchester a few days ago in only a 700 person venue. She said that only her friends were dancing. Otherwise a lot of leery old timers in the audience!

Re: 10 More Songs About Roses
Would Hugh's new song get into the above top 10? Hybrid T, Climber or Rambling, the choice is yours... I don’t know all of them , but 1, 4 and 8 definitely prefer them to Hugh’s Rose offering, and would also rate my 10 Rosie’s numbers above it, I unfortunately don’t really like Hugh’s Red Rose very...

Whole Lotta Rosie - AC/DC 5. Rosie's Presence - Masters of Reality 6. Last Living Rose - P J Harvey 7. Yankee R...

The first 2 Saints albums are excellent (I'm lucky enough to have them on vinyl). Their is a fantastic version of Demolition Gi...

Especially with the bass so clear...

The Clash vs The Stranglers
You know how Google throws up articles for you? I received one a couple of days ago which referred to Martin Scorsese's best punk song ever. Janie Jones by the Clash. No surprise there then from the idolised by critics, The Clash (especially stateside). Well I am a bit tired of hearing that they wer...

They could where shades, baggy shorts,a short sleeved palm tree shirt and flip flops oh yeah and not forgetting that suntan bottle of lotion for that peeling skin and can still call himself a strangler member by name in my book if he can still keep playing the way this current unit is for sure in m...

Re: Who are you seeing (other than the stranglers) this year?
New addition- John Otway is playing a free concert in St Albans this Sunday. He claims it will be his 4,990th show and is working up to playing his 5,000th at Shepherd’s Bush some time. Wanted to see him live for a while, but I can’t help thinking that once will be enough. I saw him play in a pub i...
