Typos corrected as they appear to be of the utmost importance.

Re: James Dean Bradfield

Seeking The Room With The Three Windows, Without Knowing The End and The Last Song are good...the rest is earnest dad rock like the latter-day Manics have churned out for years...but if you like post Richey Manics you'll disagree.

Nothing on there comes close to That's No Way To Tell A Lie.

Re: Worst song on Coup De Crap / Coup Disgrace

I actually like this album which is a bit weird I guess cos it’s not brilliant but I broke up with an ex-model Female Woman at the time and was listening to this a lot and it reminds me of her and those times good and bad. I guess thats an interesting angle, liking or not liking an album cos of how...

Re: Statues and censoring old songs

My perspective is that equality and social parity are the Big Picture in the BLM debate. Unfortunately I disagree. They are weaponising specific incidents, manipulating the natural repulsion to racism to create social discord, division and instability. Meanwhile in China, ethic cleansing is being c...

Re: Statues and censoring old songs

No I found that bit quite encouraging The only problem with the Big Picture interpretation now is for a lot of people that comes from biased MSM and SM - that's where active discussion is valuable. Perfect example being BLM - eveyone jumped on the noble phrase/message without even checking out the ...

What's so depressing - people attempting to discuss this in a civilised manner wthout screaming soundbites and slogans at each other?

Re: Statues and censoring old songs

Can you give links to these interviews where they've said such? Put your hackles back down. It's pretty lame if you've never read any reports about the real struggles with discrimination that people face! Here's a recent one with the very intelligent and highly qualified David Lammy: https://www.po...

Re: Statues and censoring old songs

In the UK and the USA, it is set up by the laws and infrastructure put in place by rich white men. And why wouldn't it be? In Africa, laws have been put in place by wealthy black men, in China by wealthy Chinese - the majority race will always be representative. Your background determines your futu...

Re: Statues and censoring old songs

I don't think anyone here said racism, discrimination and prejudice don't exist though No, you all seem to think 'It's not that bad here' but that is not true. You are shielded from it by your privilege of being the racial majority. Just because it's not a problem for you personally doesn't mean it...

Re: Statues and censoring old songs

I walked into the chemist the other day and the Pharmacist, a young man asked me “Why are you wearing that t-shirt for?” I didn’t have to but I explained to him why I was wearing the t-shirt after which that he looked a bit confused and embarrassed. I was wearing a T-shirt of one of my favourite gu...

Yes, sensitivity is half the problem - bad things do happen, people do show ignorance but we can learn from this and know who to avoid in life.
