Re: If something's going to kill me...

Louie must be the 'new' keyboard player, right under our nose. JJ is throwing a red herring saying it is someone from a past tribute band.

Re: DARK MATTERS!!!!!

Not just one or two but maybe eight in some form or another. Will that not ruin the new album experience. To combat that Ive not listened to a single snippet let along song. Whether the album turn out to be good, average or bad Im looking forward to hearing the whole thing for the first time and en...

Re: Sisterhood

I am quite fond of CDG myself, apart from the dull sound.Sounds like it was recorded underwater.

Re: White Stallion

I remember Scabies once saying the only flare Jet Black has is on his trousers leg.Made me laugh.

Re: White Stallion

Nothing wrong with big production if it enhances the song, 10 failed as RTB was not on the same page as most of the band, but with Louie they totally trust him, he even got a name check on Lowlands from the Dire Giants Good point. The so called big production sound wasn't what the band really had in...

Exactly. He's the 'touring drummer' which sort of implies that Jet Black is still the drummer, which he isn't.

Re: DARK MATTERS!!!!!

The whole problem is when the Lead singer goes, it's very hard for the public to grasp, let alone Fans. Personally I don't know anyone who knows who Hugh Cornwell is, apart from fans of the band.Or JJ either.Almost everyone has heard of the Stranglers but not so much the names and members. In my own...

This is going to be an unpopular opinion, but I think band T shirts are for the kids.
I have none myself.Last one was 1996 and I felt too old wearing it then.

Re: The Lines preview

Hear, hear.Criticism is fine and we don't have to like whatever the band churns out just because it's the Stranglers. But a line has been crossed here, I feel.

Re: Keys To The Future...

To me the Cure are the Cure with Robert Smith,UK Subs are the UK Subs with Charlie Harper. The Fall were always the Fall with Mark Smith despite God knows how many line up changes.it's in the eye of the beholder I suppose.Apart from the staunch fans people in general don't know who is in the Strangle...

Re: Payday preview

I feel I've already heard too much of this album, pre-release.The live versions, the snippets and the Dave single.
