Sorry but I can't believe it was hanging in the balance on the morning of the Albert Hall show.Any doubt whatsoever and it would've been pulled the day before.5000 fans with tickets,travel and accomodation booked.Nah.

Ha,ha.I don't recall that word being around in 1991.I doubt Hook would be so disrespectful even if he wasn't impressed.

Baz contradicts himself in that blog.He says he wasn't 'complicit' in Paul leaving (his words)but then goes on to say the above,about going to Cornwall without him and not opening the parcel containing his CD.

I do agree that fans return to attending gigs after the kids have grown up and the mortgage is paid,not just the Stranglers but any band.But I just can't picture a five piece Stranglers with Paul as the frontman singing all of the songs,pulling in full houses around the UK.Can't be proven one way or...

Fans turned away in droves and the band ended up playing to 500 /700 people at many shows,compared to now.I think that says it all.

This brings back exactly why I gave up going to see "JJ, Jet, Dave and friends" for quite a few years.

Embarrassing is an understatement.But it did have 'energy'.So that's OK.

That would limit their sales I would've thought.Don't understand this going back in time thing,with vinyl.

As somebody else said,the last link to the original.It's bizarre enough without Hugh,Jet and Dave but without JJ too then it becomes a music hall joke.Literally

Thanks.I just thought JJ did his number from the album on that tour.

From memory they played uptown,no mercy,let me down easy and north winds on the aural sculpture show that I attended in Liverpool.Without googling.Maybe punch and judy was shoe 'horned' in.
