Official website for the Gonzo's TV anime Gankutsuou (The Count of Monte Christo) is now open. Just as Gonzo's Samurai 7 is a sci-fi story based on the Seven Samurai, Gankutsuou is also set in a futuristic Paris.
Original concept and directed by Maeda Mahiro, but based on the original work by Alexandre Dumas, series composition by Kouyama Shuichi, character designs by Matsubara Hidenori, music by Jean Jacques Burnel (from The Stranglers).

DVD`s and unconfirmed date
Rumours of the 1978 San Francisco gig appearing on DVD. It`s been available on vid for sometime and although items like these are rare it`s probably not worth the £15 asking price for 30 mins of material.
Another rumour is of the legendary 1979 Wembley stadium support gig to the Who. Highly unlikely that this is the full gig on DVD 1 track listed "The Stranglers" appears on a bootleg Who DVD. Although not that exciting at least it shows that the Stranglers gig was filmed and there could be a possibility of the full gig being available in the future?

Large French Tour rumoured for November
Dates are appearing on the net for a massive French tour spanning almost all of November.
