Yeah seen that Jim - tis good. Prefer the early stuff me but I'm sure you expected that because we're often at opposites! :Dtheraven1979 wrote:Organ Grinder wrote:I like Magazine too - 'Definative Gaze' is very Stranglersy.
It`s OK - there`s a nice Whistle Test footage of them doing that. I prefer there later stuff - early 80s.

If Dave was to use a Hammond L100 for just one more gig I'd die content.

John McGeoch :notworthy: I thought his replacement did well on Magic, Murder and The Weather as well. Can`t really knock a Magazine albumOrgan Grinder wrote:Yeah seen that Jim - tis good. I'm a big magazine fan. 'Secondhand Daylight' was one of the first 'peel'-type albums I got well into. Not mad about the other albums but they have their moments and every song on Secondhand is fab and makes up for their weaker moments.
My favourite song of theirs though is only on the compilation albums or box set - 'Give Me Everything'. There is a keyboard solo in it that is superb.
I remembered about my fondness for The Beautiful South. I don't know many other BSouth fans and never meet any other than Mr and Mrs 'One concert a year and why is is all so loud?'s each time I am at their gigs.
