England V Croatia

With just over eight hours to kick off, the tension can be felt across the nation, stopping only at the Clifton suspension bridge and Gretna for a reality check.
'All we need is a draw' - famous last words.
A quarter final meeting with Portugal beckams (sic).
If you want to know what the Croatian media think of it all, look no further.
Rich.

Why Portugal ???
Impending civil war on my street - I live in the "little portugal" district in Toronto - which usually morphs into "little brazil" during world cups the moment Portugal get knocked out - which is usually very early (amazing how quickly this transition happens - from my assessment most portugese fans on my street have two sets of flags and kits - becoming instant brazil fans once the home country is out!).
There are a handful of ex-pat brits on my street bravely hanging in against the red tide - that said, every other car has a portugese flag, they're flying from peoples houses, flying from the corner shop, the bakery (portugese), local restaurant (portugese) - you get the picture. When portugal qualified for the next round there were full scale car cavalcades 40 or so cars long going all round the area horns a blarin.
If england lose this one - think of me. Short of being a brit living in Lisbon, few will suffer more humiliation. I just can't take the gloating of the pensioners....
