The Anniversary Harrington Style Jacket.

Post by Greatkudu »

Ok a bit of levity needed maybe? I think the Anniversary Harrington Style Jacket seems to have created a buzz around some fans? The first Limited edition run sold out within a few hours and now the second run of this Limited edition run is down to xxxxxxxxL size and xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxLLLLLL sizes ok a bit of exaggeration there🙂 But I wonder what all the excitement is about? Yes they look nice, but I see quite a few disgruntled fans selling them on as they were to small,no offence intended, but have fans got bigger or have the sizes become smaller? Major General kudu.

I'm inclined to agree.

How do you know they are selling like hot cakes? Do you have access to sales figures? I think the few that want them tend to post photos on social media.

Exactly, I predicted in a post on here prior to the tour they would be selling them. They do something similar each tour. Gotta top those pensions up somehow!

The jacket was/is an insult to the history of The Harrington jacket. As Jim said, its tacky and looks tatt. One for the fanboys definitely.

The Gold disc ... another rip off, and .... did I hear a drumskin was on sale for £70.

They're not the band they used to be.

Yes drum head that is £70.00 actually retails for £26.00,so a total fucking Rip Off but obviously some people have to much money to burn.Major Kudu.

The Harrington isn't an item of clothing I ever associated with the Stranglers unlike leather jackets and doc martens.I always thought of it as more of a ska and mod thing.
Not condoning high prices but I understand greedy venues take a fair percentage.
