Gigs - to stand or sit?

Post by Palais23 »

What's the consensus (I know that would be a mean feat on this site) on whether you prefer to stand or sit at gigs?

Does it depend on the venue?
Does it depend on the band?
Does it depend on the song?
Does it depend how knackered your weary old body is?
Does it depend on substance (I include that old skool drug alcohol) intake?

PS I remember mosh pits before they were named as such. The Hammy Palais was total mosh in 81 when the Stranglers played. Most violent pits were some grebo gigs in the 80s that I survived.

Prefer to stand ... but what spoils it is the bald bloodnuts still climbing over everyone 'crowdsurfing .... they just need a dig in the ribs tbh.
