Wham Netflix Documentary

Post by theraven1979 »

Anyone else seen it?

I thought it was pretty good. Thought I might have some respect for their songs but I didn't. Very interesting mind and Mr Ridgely comes across as a good egg.

Not yet but I'm thinking of giving a go. I like music documentaries in general.
I'm watching an AC/DC one at the moment.

See the Wham one, it was alright, what's the ACDC one?

Wham was literally everywhere for a few years in the eighties. It was good pop but it never really grabbed my attention. Also George solo... Heard al the hits on the radio or saw them on MTV, never thought twice about it.

Seeing this documentary though was lovely, it is mostly the tale of friendship. Andy is a top chap it seems and it made reappriciate their works a bit. Wake Me Up and I'm Your Man (with it's Northern Soul ish beat) are my faves. George solo Father Figure is beautiful too.

It's on Sky. I put AC/DC into search. It's fairly straightforward but good all the same.

Cheers, will have a look. Watched an Aussie one on ytube recently, about the Bon years (my favourite) that was worth a watch.
