50th Anniversary Setlist?

Post by oliverj1999 »

What's your guesses on the 50th Anniversary setlist? They say there will be 2 sets, 1 acoustic and 1 with hits or hits and rare songs
What's your thoughts?

Same as usual. And sad as it is, I feel like my days of seeing the world’s greatest band have drawn to a close. Royal Albert Hall? Nah. As for Glasgow - what was wrong with the Academy? And no Birmingham date?

I can see there being one set with an orchestra at RAH then one "proper" set

Yeah different feels strange and weird that the last date of this tour is on a Tuesday
Feel an orchestra theme is going to happen

Blimey are they turning into Emerson Lake and Palmer? Three songs backed by an orchestra at the proms was as much as I could take.

Ffs if it wasn't for Baz we wouldn't be having these conversations and remember Hugh left he wasn't sacked or asked to leave so let's enjoy what's left yes Hugh was the man but only up to 1990 they must be doing something right as they are now playing bigger venues than ever so for me long live the STRANGLERS

A 50th Set?
Well ....Baz has often said that you have to start a gig with toiler but I think we could guess a good bulk of it will be the hits and we can all guess which ones too tbh...but i'd to think there will be a few surprises and an orchestra at the TRAH it has to be done there maybe Bear Cage might get a long overdue airing along with a few others, the set list could be anything tbh but here's probably a lot of what they will do as my guess only.
Waltz
Toiler
The Raven
Time to die
Curfew
Threatened
Something better change
Relentless
Freedom
White Stallion
Moon
Golden Brown
Walk on by
Just like nothing on earth
Thrown Away
Strange little Girl
If something' gonna kill me
Your song
Nuclear Device
Bear Cage
Spectre of love
Always the sun
Nice and sleazy
5 minutes

Encore
Sewer
Go Buddy Go
Heroes

It goes against their DNA not to do greatest hits live every year so that’ll be one part. Nowt we can do about that

If they’ve got anything about them, they should have a fans vote for part two, with any favourites already appearing in Part One, being removed for the next best fans favourite

Something like that and I might even go and see them again

The Academy is a shithole full of drunks.
