Re: Terry Hall RIP
That's the song I thought of too. So true in many cases and yes, Ghost Town is indeed a classic.theraven1979 wrote: ↑19 Dec 2022, 23:50 Enjoy yourself it's later than you think

Re: Terry Hall RIP
Ghost Town is indeed a classic, but not one Terry Hall had any hand in writing. In fact, he didn't really do much songwriting in The Specials as Jerry Dammers was the driving force in that band. Fun Boy Three were a completely different story.
Anyway, this wasn't news I was expecting to hear today and more than a bit of a shock. RIP.

WTF
sad news indeed.
The Specials first album is something that’s always been in my life from very early memories, one of the first bits of music to make an impression on me.

Re: Terry Hall RIP
Truly gutted. My first steps on stage were at a school event miming Too Much Too Young with me mates. Always followed him, a fantastic body of work imho. RIP

What a shame, was never big into ska myself but it was that era when music resonated with me the most, and some of their songs definitely did that! Undoubtedly another great musical talent lost and most certainly Too Young
