Footy it's coming home

Post by Arthur Streeb-Greebling » 08 Jul 2018, 14:20

I'm not the biggest Footy fan nowadays (was when I was a kid in the 70's when Leeds United ruled) but I've really been enjoying watching it and not just the England matches either.
England have been playing fantastic and the best I've seen em in years, I really hope and wish they do bring it home.

Quite a few Yorkshire lads in the squad, ee by gum it makes mi proud I tell thi.

Everyone did back then. Wasn't just Leeds , they just had more of them doing it, but when Revie finally let them play , they destroyed teams ( watch S'pton , Man Utd ....7 goals and 5 goals within weeks ) , Revie was always scared for some reason to let the side play , they knew they could, he finally let them off the leash around 1972/73 - they could have won more than they actually did .
All quiet ..........

Quite.
Aye them were the days, they don't make em like that anymore, the players are way too soft these days. They get a tap on the ankle and they go down crying clutching their face, all very embarrassing especially when we see it in slow mo on VAR.

apparently the England teams' luggage is already on the plane....don't shoot the messenger...and no, I'm not biased just cos I'm Scottish....we've already accepted that Scotland will most likely never ever qualify for the FWC again....I suppose that's a good thing though as we're giving the other teams a chance to get through.

So unfair when other teams are allowed to score from open play instead of just set pieces. Oh god, we're still shit...
I'll even let you drive my motorbike . . .
