Saw The Fall at the Transformer festival in Manchester last May. He seemed reasonably well that night. However, he was messing around with the knobs on stage and nearly blew the bass amp up!

He went up highly in my estimation when I heard that the only way he was prepared to go on Later was if Jools Holland didn't play along with him lol!

Has anyone ever commented on the similarities between Mark E Smiths voice and Hugh's?
Way back in 1980 I remember hearing and liking Totally Wired and at the time a girl at school approached me and said "Do you think Mark E Smith sounds like Hugh Cornwell?"
I was kinda taken aback that she had picked up on that and nobody else had, i had to agree because I think he sometimes does.
