What's the stupidest thing you have ever done ?
Circa 1979/80 : I held a metal cutlery fork and touched one of the two live tracks on a stretch of the Northern Line.
My mate Andy then went next.
We are both still alive.
Next ?
"Madame, Be in no doubt as to the seriousness of your position". The Day of the Jackal, 1973.

For me the list is too long...
Will have to get back to you when I've narrowed it down a bit!
Thank you very much

Re: What's the stupidest thing you have ever done ?
Good post Paul.
I do sometimes think back to a definite time; I was maybe about 15, sitting on top
of what was left of an ancient stone bridge, it was more of a wall by then, over a
stream in the countryside, holding a thick wooden stick I had lodged between the
massive bricks, wiggling them like loose teeth (the same massive bricks, you may
recall, that I was sat on.) The gaps between the stones was widening satisfyingly,
loosening the crumbling mortar as a fine misty dust, as warm summer bird song
mixed ambiently with the gentle burbling of the stream below. My mate was lazily
doing pretty much the same with his own stick, on the ground, below.
Even now, when I hear or read of accidental, therebutforthegraceofgodgoI, tragic
deaths, I am given reminders both of the impermanence of life, as well as of that time
when the whole bridge collapsed around us, in an explosion of dust, boulders and inevitability,
and I am always left with the sobering realisation that I dodged a fucken bullet that day.

...I'm making lists of all the people I love,
and all the cunts that should fuck off...

Getting lost in the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania in 2005.They sent a plane to retrieve my body as they were sure I wasn't going to survive.I have since been back and redeemed myself.
It makes a great story though if I need to make conversation at certain times.Although I don't recommend doing what I did.At least It wasn't as bad as the true story I heard of an american
tourist who decided to get a close up shot of a Hippo and lost his arm as he decided to get to close,as any one know's more people are killed by Hippo's than any other animal.
I have done other stupid thing's that mainly involve incidents in dodgy countries but I would have to shoot you If I told them.

Re: What's the stupidest thing you have ever done ?
I got myself into a drunken row over a mini cab once outside the pub and got myself stabbed in the chest on Xmas Eve and spent the whole of Xmas in hospital. Not a happy episode in my life.
