the best idea i come up with is find a new job!bongo wrote:As part of my job i have to undertake many courses, one being the dreaded safety dive which i`m doing in a few minutes, and the MINES RESCUE one. The mines rescue course consists of first aid and rescuing people from very tight situations. So off we go to the rescue centre where they have a series of underground tunnels and pipes etc to negotiate with a stretcher and a dummy. Its a nightmare!!! but whilst walking through the shafts dressed like a miner, stooped over and back on fire with pain , i found myself singing "down in the sewer" It got me through it ok and took my mind off the pain. Dont know what i`ll sing next year when i do it because they said we`ll do the same thing, but might set fire to the shafts this time ...............Any ideas?

Out of my arse, in Largs on Saturday night.
At least it sounds like that on my camera

If Dave was to use a Hammond L100 for just one more gig I'd die content.

Too long a story to bore you with, but me and a mate sang No More Heroes in Red Square, Moscow (Aug 1982). The locals were rather bemused.

Off the coast of Sardegna...
I sang the entirety of Black And White while stranded alone in a boat in the Mediterranean.
A fair distance out to sea, my engine had suddenly packed up - but I had a pair of oars - so I fought my way back to land and managed to counteract the opposing current dragging me back out to sea. My arm and shoulder muscles went into spasm (arms like jelly!) I was so fucked - I was burnt too (I still have the scars on my shoulders) ... but my salvo that kept my brain doing what I had to do (before the pirates got me!) was singing B+W. My favourite album.
