I think the set list is very very good. Exactly what they should have done for the 50th. The revisiting of their most 'out there' album MiB was essential - especially on the stage entrance. (Being a bit of a synth nerd the sound here could have been better.) They've also been bold in the presentation although I'm not sure what I think of that yet. It plays right in the hands of the detractors.

Sounds like they are playing well from what I have heard.

Toby's first public performance singing Genetix. He'll get better once it gets settled. He doesn't try to be Dave and it will never be as good as Dave, we all know that. Did it get any Dave mentions beforehand?

Set list looks good (https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/the-stra ... aa84d.html) with tracks from 13/18 albums, only one track I’ve not seen played but a few that haven’t been played in a while.
Clips show they’re sounding good, really looking forwards to the RAH.
Maybe they’ll record it for a live quadruple album
Then I got tired of counting all of these blessings, and then I just got tired.

Not sure I've ever heard Hallow to Our Men live before and I've been going to see them since 78. Missed a few years when PR was in the band but not missed many tours.
They played it on the MIB tour 8)

Could be alot worse. It's kind of the only thing from the giants era to make it in to the set.

When I was coming back from Edinburgh one time there was a guy playing Coldplay on one of those at the station.

Set 1 ... awesome. Just buzzing with it at the interval
Set 2 ... not so awesome. Played brilliantly but I'd ditch four or five of the old standards. That's just me, I suppose

Looks like a great set - especially set 1 is wonderful.

Of all the songs only one from the nineties, four from the last twenty years.... that says something though...

Sounded a great gig and for me I'm so glad they brought back .....Gentetix
I've always been in the corner of them continuing with Dave's song....Hugh's done it which was a fantastic tribute to the great man so I'm glad the Stranglers have done one too....
1) it's a great tribute to the great man himself.....
2) it's such a great song to never play again
3) we get to here live one of the bands best lead bass solo parts.
Many thought they would never touch it again but I'm gald they did.
I think they did well and setlist too for night 1.

Couldn't resist peaking at the setlist. It's a good set with some choice album tracks Nothing I haven"t heard live before apart from 1 Dark Matters track. However, that may be down to the volume of gigs I've been to more than lack of imagination by the band.

Not looked at setlist but I know they played Genetix,to me a big mistake, should have left it alone,to iconic with Jet and Dave,Jim also doesn't have the correct drum configuration to play it properly, should of left it alone IMHO.Major Kudu.
