Re: 50th Anniversary Setlist?
Yeah always good when they do that like the album.....agreed.
I think the Raven could get a JJ vocal airing on this tour...be good.
I think JJ could really sing a fair bit on this tour.
I'd like to hear...the Raven.. time to die...freedom...tomorrow Was.. curfew..choosie...shut up.. threatened ...instead of this.....there's so many...then it would sound like the mk1 songs but maybe not so many Hugh ones to be done for me lol
All good JJ ones....and baz to sing more of the current ones...Relentless.. Moon.. etc
I wonder if they will do thrown away and JLNOE gospel ones and who wants the world would be good too.
Re: 50th Anniversary Setlist?
I'm quite sure that the first part of the concert won't be that special. All well known tracks to the ones who listen to the original band albums. Only one never played track if this is true... Why not a new track already recorded but not released so far? JJ' answer would be: "we don't have to prove anything", "you know, it's all about top quality" etc.
Re: 50th Anniversary Setlist?
Or they might play a medley of 500 unrecorded ideas?

Re: 50th Anniversary Setlist?
They might even surprise a lot of people with two great sets.
I for one think the first set of a roll back to the early years will be a thumping fast past set.
The one never played before could be Tomorrow Was.
I'd love to hear Two to Tango too...plenty of la Folie & gospel tracks.....Hallow for one lol
But that's just me and I probably won't get what I would like them to do anyway lol
I wonder if No Mans Land might get an airing....never been done before as well.

It would be nice if they played a few mark 2 tracks. Maybe Southern Mountains, Still Life or Valley of the birds.
Re: 50th Anniversary Setlist?
So here’s a suggested set list I put out a couple of years back when we were all moaning about how boring and predictable the tours had become
We’re going to get 50 mins of “not the greatest hits” (10-12 songs?) so if we get those with an asterisk plus an extra couple that I’ve added, I won’t be complaining
Shah Shah A GoGo *
Threatened *
Tramp *
London Lady
Bitching *
Lost Control
Barbara
School Mam *
Souls
Shaking Like A Leaf
Instead Of This *
In The Shadows *
Raven
Nubiles
Goodbye Toulouse
Never Say Goodbye *
Let Me Down Easy
Breathe
The Man They Love To Hate
Hallow To Our Men *
Peasant
Two Sunspots

Re: 50th Anniversary Setlist?
A lot of great songs but a few not suited to Baz's voice I'm afraid to say
eg Two Sunspots, Tramp...
Would also prefer that songs sung by Dave were not played.

Re: 50th Anniversary Setlist?
Me too really. But then I can also imagine one could be done as a nod/dedication to Dave and introduced as such.
Let's Boogie

Re: 50th Anniversary Setlist?
Funny you saying that...I had valley of the birds in in the car today and thought that would be an excellent one to do in the set....just don't know how many mk11 tracks they would do tbh...Most of the mk11 or Paul tracks seems to have been forgotten and erased form existence since he went.
But yeah valley of the birds is an excellent song to do.
I'm not a massive mk11 fan but when you look back over the catalogue there are some good ones in there which is a shame they won't see the light of day again like the ones you've mentioned and heaven or hell, here there are alot but I think we can forget the paul days ones ever being done..
But I could be wrong.
I think it is time for time to do die to get an airing again one of the best post mk1 tracks to date I think...
It will be heavy mk1 and this current line ups worth of songs dominating the two sets worth is my guess only and I feel the set not to be missed is.......set 1 if you an mk1 early days material fan...again a guess only.
I'm wondering if set one will be heavy first four albums worth and if it is then they will need a break and rest before set 2.....lol
Infact will the tour start with JJs first written song.....GBG after Waltz....
Have they ever done that as an opener before?
