Re: Devo now
I have a question.
Why did Robert Palmer cover Devo? Very strange.

I dunno, he'd covered Gary Numan before that!theraven1979 wrote: ↑06 Apr 2023, 11:42 I have a question.

Re: Devo now
I can imagine the powerstation covering it.
Soundgarden recorded a version too, around the same time. Maybe devo were going through a hard time and others wanted to help them out a bit?

Cheers. Been meaning to visit Edinburgh for ages so would be great to see Devo while I’m there too.kenl wrote: ↑05 May 2023, 18:42Gig in Edinburgh now. 17/8.Arthur Streeb-Greebling wrote: ↑10 Apr 2023, 12:36Ffs, just the one gig in the UK? Hope they do a few more. Lazy bastards!

Re: Devo now
Not long now, got my "ticket" for the Edinburgh gig.
Really looking forward to it. Only seen them once before, Glasgow Apollo. Either 79 or 80.
That was a fabulous gig.

Re: Devo now
Well, the Devo gig in Edinburgh was just brilliant. As good as any gig I've been to. Loved it.
Re: Devo now
Excellent show in London.
Great setlist, no filler and they put on a great performance.
I arrived just before the start, so near the back of an absolutely packed stalls standing audience.
Amazing amount of middle aged idiots trying to force their way through a tightly packed crowd with with a hand full of lagers.
Seem to think “sorry mate” should invoke a Red Sea parting of the crowd.
Which it didn’t, and a few fractious moments near me, for that truly authentic 1980s gig experience.

Re: Devo now
Although I had a beer before the gig, I much prefer if people are not drinking during the performance.
