hundreds of little fragments, he needs Hugh to put them together.
They have plenty of time to make this gold 50th tour one to remember.

Well yor not wrong there in what you say....and that's what made the Stranglers the band they once were from back in the day,it was the combination off each other between Hugh & JJ that worked like no other since.
Today's a completely different working style relationship betweenJJ & Baz that has also worked very well but differently some will like it and others will loathe it to what was once was.
The two different duo writing partnerships are never going to sound alike sheerly because of the absence Hugh and his musical and lyrical perception to a song to all that has followed him.
Baz certainly has brought back the Stanglers back to something like they used to be sound and energy wise and has certainly brought the best back out of JJ once again whose now playing, singing and looking as good as ever which is simply remarkable at his age..... full credit and respect to JJ the now Mr.Stranglers!
I'm expecting a fantastic 50th tour next year and think they will work hard to make it a tour to remember the year by.

Absolutely. Breezy slab of Europop!

Yeah...I would like that very much...more than another stranglers album.
The very same. I'd like to hear him being genuinely creative and not falling back on Stranglers cliches.

For me only maybe the solo work outside of the Stranglers that i've really enjoyed most has always been Hugh's.
I hope JJ continues on with the band until whenever they call time on the entity hoping then he might still stay in a duo partnership with Baz and as an ocassional live act too from time to time.. as I think they certainly can produce good material together that works and sounds so well where live they could still play new material and some of the old Stranglers ones too a bit of a mixed gig like Hugh's done for decades now where I'm sure they could still find a slot for the odd "Go Buddy Go" into their set.
The beauty with them togehter is you still have a choice of two singers either separately or harmonising together that has worked very well with their combined vocal tones as the DM acoustic sessions has shown so well for that being the case.
So for me after the Stranglers a duo act would be good and Hugh to keep on doing what he does best too....good solo albums.

I think a JJ solo album would be a pleasant surprise. I can imagine it being very good and much better for him to direct his 300 ideas in this direction with out the distraction and influence of the other 3. If only eh - i cant see it happening though but a nice thought.

You know, I would love a Serge Gainsbourg style album, husky voiced, full of drama and reflection, with lush orchestral arrangements. I reckon that would do well in France! Just a thought 😁

I see. Have to admit I know nothing at all about motorcycles to be honest. My ex once gave me a Triumph t shirt like JJ used to wear which was nice but a bit odd since I only rode at the back of the yamaha one a mate of mine rode when we were 18 or so, lol
