It gets the from me. The track really suits the strangs. Decent video Pity it won’t get any radio play though. As for the track sounding like Meat loaf! Really
Re: This Song
Far be it from me to agree with stan but I'm afraid I'll have to. Baz over emphasises the words, (bocks) particularly the first couple of verses before it fizzles out.I wouldn't say it ruins the song but it taints it just a little for me.Otherwise it's a corker of a song as is the original.

Re: This Song
Always thought this was a good song. Its the type of song that I would have liked the Stranglers to have been writing in the last few years.
Love the rumbling bass.
Always like to listen to Dave's keyboard arpeggios.
Don't like the Davy Jones's locker bit - Seems symptomatic of latter day Stranglers, who seem to want to bugger up songs by being a bit too clever!
Quite like Baz's vocals on this.
Like the video - Must have been a dream come true for Stuart Pearce.
Surprised noone has mentioned the fact that Pearce is looking very 'Daniel Craig-esque' at the same time as his final portrayal of James Bond hits the box office after a massive Covid delay. Pretty good marketing ploy by the band's management/record company I think!
Best I've heard from the album thus far.
