Genesis Roundhay Park early 90s . Painful! Still hurts now. Went as a favour for a friend as bizarrely no one wanted to see Genesis with him.

Rugby Union is not only the greatest team sport in the world on the field, but without a shadow of a doubt, is the greatest team sport in the world off the field. Nigel Owens.

Any night out when everyone keeps their clothes on.
I can't help getting old. I just refuse to grow up.

Any night when Adele turns up, takes her clothes off and starts singing.
I can't help getting old. I just refuse to grow up.

But seriously folks.... I saw Lou Reed at the Hammersmith Odeon around 1980. He was off his face on something or other. Appalling night that put me off him and the Velvets for life.
I can't help getting old. I just refuse to grow up.

Re: Crap Nights Out
A night out in London watching Gary Numan at Hammersmith ( a couple of friends idea ) - there were engineering works on central or whatever line . Determined to watch whole concert regardless of having to get to other side of London ( Liverpool St ) to get last train to Colchester and tight time scale without work on line, our friends ended up making us miss last train to Colchester out of London . We waited and there was one later train to Chelmsford , around 2am - BUT there was no connection to Colchester so we decided to get a taxi . Having then got to Chelmsford we called taxi who said £30 to Colchester , but our friends wouldn't pay that much - haggled to £20 ( on phone ) and taxi never turned up so we had to wait until 6am ish for first train out - having wandered around Chelmsford at night for hours . In hindsight we should have paid £30 for taxi (other couple said they wouldn't but if we wanted fine and they would jump in with us ) and let he others wander around Chelmsford for hours . This was around 2003/04 and we haven't been out with them since .NEVER gain . Gigs wise now I do try to avoid London - in fact I just try to avoid London anyway for anything .
All quiet ..........
