Just found a near mint 7" vinyl copy of FREE 4 (just a few pencil marks on the B.Side of the white label, and a slight scratch on the run out grooves of the A.Side) I found it hidden between the faded brown pages of an old 1970's copy of the Yellow Pages, which was placed for protection in an old wooden and brass pirates chest, which was hidden in an old damp mysterious cave on a secluded beach in South Uist the Inner Hebrides... found it while I was searching caves for mega rare green glowing magic penguins (big eared species, with horns) If anyone wants it, just place a bag of slightly sticky sherbert lemons in an envelope, and hide it in the old red telephone box down the hill from the chippie in Dreamland at midnight (please include an e.mail address for non-delivery)... I also found a stash of Peaches 'Blackmail' sleeves in my cheese and coleslaw sandwich at lunchtime... all original, no fading of artwork but some slight creasing in top left hand corners (some mayonaise stains, but that should wash of with a drop of terpentine)

Standing in the pub a couple of weeks ago I overheard a bloke I know as a nodding acquaintance only saying he was having a 'retro night' - turned out he was going to the Birmingham Academy gig, he'd seen the band many times but never since Hugh left. Then last Saturday saw him again, he mentioned that he'd been, enjoyed it a lot, and another bloke turned up who'd also been at the Manchester gig.

Went to see Brassed Off today. At grand theatre in Wolverhampton. The play version of the film. No more heroes and Golden Brown featured, which although nice to hear, did not fit at all. T
how did I get down here, well it's a long story

Just spotted 'Big In America' (shaped picture disc) sticking out of Sam Fox's b*m... she was bending over to pick up a cheese burger, that her little grand daughter had dropped while in Macdeath's at lunchtime. It appeared to be in good condition with just a few marks and creases (her bum, not the shaped picture disc... )

Meet in March for a pint of The Raven craft beer?

So, is Glasgow the most Stranglers themed bars city? Yes, of course it fucken is, it is, after all the home of Stranglers Mania
We got The Raven, Nice N Sleazys, Black and White and, of course, who can forget
The You Hold The Key To My Love In Your Hand bar, up the Trongate.

This afternoon - walking along Eden Quay, Dublin. Strolling back to Connolly Street Railway Station after a trek around Dublin Zoo, I see a guy walking towards me wearing a Stranglers' T-shirt. As always I point out what a great band he supports and he stops to chat. Notice it is an English accent (London to be precise) and I mention I'm not a local either. Anyway after a bit further dialogue about the recent summer gigs and the Ruby Tour (the more I talk to him, the more I recognise the face - but can't really place it). Only turns out to be Andy - the guy who runs the merch stall. He was over in Dublin doing the merch for Mordred who are playing The Voodoo Lounge tonight!! Hash-tag Random 8)
Allow me to re-arrange your face, sometimes I'd really like to get to know you better

Used to have a black ford escort that had "raven" upholstery. Today's Columbo episode was "no time to die" and I thought to myself I'll send him a copy....
