Surely Russia won't stick with Capello. He's knocked the flair out of them.

We need to increase the number of English players in each team to 5. Get rid of Rooney and Gerard for a start and play the younger players. Ok we may lose to start with but it may get better it cannot get much worse can it!?
I have a feeling Costa Rica will beat us as well.

What a fucking embarrassment it was, watching Rooney this morning saying they will play better for the Costa Rica match. You fecking dimwit, it was supposed to be for the first 2.

Exactly matey I mean they only had FOUR YEARS TO PREPARE overpaid tossers ..precisely the reason why I don't follow the game anymore ..ok there is talent there just not in our team

Will Costa Rica be resting their star players for this game given they sailed through the group with ease?

OK we're out now
would like Brazil to win it,beating Argentina in the final, coming back from a goal behind
when push comes to shove,it'll be these two in the final

You carnt be blaming Wayne Rooney, the media have hyped him up to be a world class player not him.
He a very good english player but he aint worldclass, but this not his fault.
Lets give roy a chance lets stick with him to the euro 2016 and see what happens, sacking manager after manager not the answer.

The brutal fact is that England are a second rate side on the world stage. Not good for our national pride as we invented the game.

Spain 1485
Germany 1300
Brazil 1242
Portugal 1189
Argentina 1175
Switzerland 1149
Uruguay 1147
Colombia 1137
Italy 1104
England 1090
Belgium 1074
Greece 1064
United States 1035
Chile 1026
Netherlands 981
Ukraine 915
France 913
Croatia 903
Russia 893
Mexico 882
This is the current ( June 04 pre World Cup ) Fifa rankings . England flattered a bit by 10th but as most countries below seem to have qualified for the knockout stage and some other countries actually won a/some matches - expect England to plummet quite a fair way . Don't know how points are awarded but I think realistically England might just about scrape into the top 30 countries in the world at present - with a bit of luck . Last win was actually now 6 games ago in a non competitve friendly . I think if England rate in the top 15 after this world cup it is highly flattering and certainly unrealistic .
