christopher eccleston is the Hugh Cornwell of Dr Who
Very interesting. Just watching an interview with christopher eccleston regarding the Dr Who 50th anniversary, there is an uncanny comparison with Hugh Cornwell over their mutual feeling towards past endeavours. I reckon they would get on over a beer or two!

I'd have liked to have seen Ecclestone involved in the story . For me Tennant stole the show over Smith - he's a better actor IMO , and John Hurt is a class actor too but too short a story to make an opinion on his Doctor . Tom Baker - well I went out of the room at the end and misssed exactly why Tom Baker was involved as - if you take the series history correctly - he would be a 40 yr old Tom Baker not a 70 yr old one , but like I said I missed the exact nature of that bit as I was somewhere else for few minutes . Overall an enjoyable story .LAFOLIE wrote:Very interesting. I thought Ecclestone was a good Doctor ..... the Hugh Cornwell of Dr Who ???? maybe ...... ironically I was earlier thinking along the lines of Giants being the Syvester McCoy album .
All quiet ..........

Coup De Grace must be Colin Baker then?

Yeah, I can see the similarity. It's a pity Christopher Eccleston doesn't seem to like being reminded of his stint as The Doctor; he was my favourite of the new Doctors so far. I don't let it ruin my enjoyment of his work though!LAFOLIE wrote:Very interesting. Christopher Eccleston is NOT Hugh Cornwell. He's John Cooper Clarke...
