10 Years since The People's Acoustic Faith Tour

Post by ThruBeingCool »

Anyone go? I know that some of you on here were involved with the gigs. Great days!

For those who don't know what the fuck I'm on about here goes. At the end of 2001 Paul Roberts wanted to go on the road to promote some of his solo stuff with Baz Warne also in tow and occasionally Richard Naiff from The Waterboys on keyboards. Instead of touring via the normal channels fans who were up for it were given the opportunity to organise their own gigs for them. Yup, I was one of the volunteers!

In March 2002 the tour finally hit the road and I'm sure all of those fans who witnessed these gigs have some great memories. I will add more to this thread when I get the time (in particular piccies from the Golden Fleece gigs)

No problem just think its a weird topic to bring up right in the middle of a UK tour. But that's just me.

Why the fuck is it a weird topic? I've looked at the other recent threads and they cover all manner of topics. Surely the West Bromwich Albion thread is summat that one might consider a little weird during a Stranglers UK tour..not a thread that actually involves past and present members of The Stranglers. Btw it was meant as an anniversary type subject and one that I feel would be quite interesting to those who missed out Or weren't aware. So fuck off!

Yeah what's the problem, didn't know there were limits for topics we are free to post or do we have to run everything past you first?
Strolling along minding my own business.....

No problem my arse! You didn't even give this thread a chance, as for passion? I'm sure those that regularly contribute to the word association thread are full of passion! You don't have a go at them who post on there or indeed think that it's wierd that ....ooh I can't be arsed.

It's your forum Jim, I only live here.
