Leeds and Manchester for me this time. Did Liverpool , Sheffield and Manchester this year, the Liverpool gig was great but by the time Sheffield came around ( the penultimate gig) I thought the lads were looking a bit knackered , esp JJ who looked like he couldnt wait to get off and put his feet up.!
The first gig is always the best in my experience in terms of energy levels, it may not be the tightest performance as this tends to get better over the next few outings, but they always appear fresh and enthusiastic. The last gig the lads always seem to have a resurgence of energy , drawing on reserves I guess and the anticipation of a few good nights kip to look forward to.

I think the Manchester gig is the same day as a Man United home game, so hotels are busier than usual.duchess wrote:Hi, Have booked Glasgow, but would also like to do Manchester , could anyone suggest where to stay hopefully within walking distance.
The Ibis and Holiday Inn Express (Oxford Road) are both about 10 mins walk from the venue. If you can stretch the budget, the Palace Hotel is a classy old victorian building full of original features - I got a really good deal there last time, but it seems pricey this time around.

Thankyou, that's handy to know re match, will check out hotels and the palace you mentioned,10 minute walk I can just about attempt
