Re: Killed By Death
RIP Wurzel. I saw Motorhead at Hammersmith when I was 13 and wurzel was in the band then, so my era of Motorhead was basically the 'rock'n'roll' album which I look back on with fondness....
Re: Killed By Death
In fact I listened to my 'rock'n'roll' CD earlier as a tribute to Wurzel. Finished by listening to the 1916 Album. Forgot just what a great poignant track 1916 is/was.Jake wrote:RIP Wurzel. Apparently Wurzel's last live gig was just last weekend.
He died instantly of a heart attack with a drink in his hand.
He lived it to the last.

Re: Killed By Death
Very sad news indeed. I'm a big Motorhead fan, and Orgasmatron is probably my favourite album, the first Motorhead studio album on which Wurzel appears. In fact, I played Orgasmatron this morning, bloody marvellous it is too. RIP Wurzel and thanks mate.

Just come across this pretty cool interview with wurzel from the 1990's, worth a watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7uVb_R_Rcpw
Re: Killed By Death
Thinking about it Wurzel helped craft some of Motorhead's finest moments; Killed by death, Doctor Rock and Just Coz You Got The Power.... for a start!
