Yeah some amazing choices...

Maybe we should try the thread with a bit more objectivity. Many of the bands listed by folk on here attract massive audiences, have huge industry clout and no doubt are populated by great musicians..... BUT...... it's the "I don't get it" bit. It just doesn't make mi hairs stand up or doesn't make me say "WOW what a great tune or lyric or riff ". It could be the band image that grates on me, or the lead singer is up his own arse etc. and so you dismiss `em.

It must be some audio chemical thing going on I reckon.... The Clash get a few mentions. I'm the same about them. They never did owt for me. They always seemed to have a bogus political agenda going on and I could never really put mi finger on it and so their music has been forever banished into "The Basement of Shite".
