Well it could happen.
I tried to make him laugh, He didn't get the joke, and then he said I wasn't right in the head.

We're actually thinking of getting another Welsh Springer from a cople who can't have theira anymore, but we're worried this would put Oscar's nose out of joint (he's a bit of a wimp), but I'd heard it's good to get a new dog before the old one goes, for various reasons. There's nothing wrong with the new one, the couple are adopting a child and they are worried the dog will be jealous. Any advice.

PS think of the potential pulling power of two fanny magnets!!

You'll have to carry a shitty stick around with you to beat them off (so to speak)

I can't believe no-one owns up to having a cat called 'Cattus Norvegicus'. That's what I'd call mine, if I had one.

All these tales of people losing pets reminds me of why I wouldn't want to have one. Great companions, I'm sure (though perhaps not goldfish so much) but the potential for too much sadness or disappointment. One the way to the pub I often pass someone walking a little white dog (no idea what make/model) and it's always straining at the lead to get away, or get to me, or the nearest bush or anywhere, and I don't think I could stand the hassle of having to try to calm it down all the time. Some people aren't meant to have pets, and I think I'm one of them. Though I wouldn't stoop so low as to get one and then just dump it somewhere, that's just a crap thing to do.

"Thousands of fossilised dinosaur turds, said to be 240 million years old, have been discovered in the province of La Rioja in Argentina".
