Anyone remember The Rubinoos? They had a minor hit here late 70's with a track called "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend", I just bought a 3cd best of thingy, some good powerpop on there.

Ha! That's the one!

I had THe Rubinoos on a very early new wave compilation called 'NO WAVE 'I believe. Not the best band/songs on the album BUT deffo not the worst.

I saw the Rubinoos in 1979 opening for Elvis Costello.

Recently in the news for suing Avril Lavign, claiming her song Girlfriend rips off I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend
