Wed 18th April, they're playing the 100 Club in London - limited to 250 tickets.
Get in quick if you fancy it - details on The Damned website
www.officialdamned.com
Just ordered my tickets for this one, only £15 each plus a couple of quid postage.
Should be a great night.

Saw them at Dartford on Friday and they were dreadful. I hadn't seen them for 20 years and like but not love them but was really disappointed; mind you, the sound was awful, too low and (re Dave Vanian) often muffled. A few songs came across well but there seemed a totally lack of unity/cohesiveness to the band and no real urgency. Left me thinking how we're so extraordinarily lucky to support a band in 'the stranglers' who just exude power and menace all over the place and continue to deliver time after time whether it's new material or old. I wasn't the only one disappointed - die-hards at the back were really losing it - but at least I was there as a neutral (even then, it was hard to keep focus with one eye continually on their 'hawaii-shirted (gulp!!)' keyboard player - enthusiatic, yes, but slightly demented, too, judging by the number of star jumps he completed during the gig). I'm sure they are much better than this but lots of people filed out very, very miserably and one couldn't help feeling sorry for them - if this had been a stranglers gig I would have cut my throat. Scott - I'm glad I didn't go to this now.
I've only ever seen one bad Damned gig, which coincidentally was the last one I went to a few months ago at Cambridge Junction. On that occasion it was technical problems with Captain's equipment, and terrible sound mix.
The gig at 100 Club has now sold out, so I hope we have a better gig next time.
Looking forward to Gizz's review from Saturday's Bristol event.

Hi, Freddie. It would be impossible for them not to be better next time around. I felt very guilty about my review because they were one of my faves when I was younger and I have lots of albums etc but I've looked at the reviews on the official Damned forum and many of the comments are similar to mine. Got to reiterate, though, that the sound was dire which clearly didn't help, and the Mick Jagger Centre lacks any sense of atmosphere etc. Great for the school play, I'm sure, but they haven't learnt yet - I also saw 'the stranglers' there - how to put on rockier events!
Scott.
