That's £2600 each less; road crew wages, travel expenses, hotel for the night, food, beer and tax. That'll leave about a grand each apart from Dave (£900 - extra beer) and Jet (£500 - food).

And don't forget, they have to spend a day in Maryport.

yeah, I think I'll be there Rich, seeing as they've cancelled Newcastle, it'll be the only affordable stranglers 'fix' for a while.
Only 600 tickets. That could make for a good, compact, loud concert hopefully.
Hats off to the organiser, he must have fronted the 13K and been quite determined to get the stranglers on. Well, we know what it costs now, if the lottery numbers come up and you want to surprise your mates with a live band at your retirement party.

For all the sarcasm about this gig...and the odd stiff washing up on the shore..I think it would be brilliant place to see 'em - 600 people...be like a small club gig but packed to the gills. I'd take something like this over a festival gig anyday.

Yes I'm sure we were only joking about Cumbria, I know I was ???
Definitely going now,
not only is it a fairly good drive up (or down, or across), with good motorways giving way to scenic views, but it's a coastal town, so if we get the weather, that means - SKINNYDIPPING.

I'm reckoning on a pleasant drive, dinnertime arrival, paddle in sea, have a recky round the town, go to that pub with the live bands on mid afternoon, teatime, change clothes, polish docs, find other pubs, go to gig, overnight stay, get back tuesday dinnertimeish. Well, it sounds good to me anyway. We're looking to get tickets sorted this week, so I'll try and find out how they're selling and post back on here. It'll be a sellout, who knows they may be well up in the charts by then. :p
