Dear Mr S,
I have been considering going to this event but as I will have to drive and stay sober it's been a hard sell.
However now I've heard that you are attending and I can maybe listen to another of your highly entertaining tales of the olden days I am slightly more inclined to give it a go.

At £40 a ticket no!. That would be travel and accomadation included. Its not as bad as the bearded theory festival they played yesterday at £90 a day ticket. Plus the added line up includes spooner drivel about nottingham id rather do overtime at asda

Already there, stood in front of where I hope the stage will be.
After 35 years travelling the country to see them, they've finally come to see me (give or take one mile).Agree the day tickets are a bit pricey for such poor support acts but as a local I got mine for £30 so I'm happy.
Anyway all back to mine afters for a cuppa (Stranglers as well).
Ps Mr Black it's only 40 minutes drive from Tetbury to Cheltenham see you there

Re: Anyone going to Cheltenham ?...
Worst gig I've ever been to although the stranglers set was is usual excellent festival set
35 years of stranglers gigs and as soon as they play in snobby cheltenham bouncers tell me to move to the back cos I'm too boisterous in the mosh area. New parents if you want to take your new borns to a punk band gig perhaps stay away from the front.jj isn't Jesus and can't cure your ugly offspring.

A review from last night.

Lots of children seemed to know the lyrics from the hour and a bit long set – perhaps they’ve been thumbing through their grandparents’ record collection?
Grandparents? mine certainly dont have the Stranglers in there record collection.
